The Weekend

We had a very busy Sunday in Lexington.

We first went to the Lexington Farmer’s Market, where we purchased:

  • Herbed Goat Cheese (Bluegrass Chevre)
  • Rhubarb
  • Honey Sticks
  • Tomatos

We then went to Whole Foods and purchased a few more exotic items like goji berries, falafel mix, sesame treats, swiss muesli, a basil plant, and medjool dates.

We also visited Meijers and purchased a 6lb pineapple and cilantro.

Finally we ate Tandoor’s Indian Cuisine which was really good, I enjoyed a little bit of everything.  I was particularly taken by their chicken masala, curried goat, and delicious fresh naan.  I think their vegetable vindaloo was quite spicey and good.  For dessert we had kheer and savoy kheer (vermicelli kheer).  We purchased a few things from Sagar India Market nextdoor, such as a few mixes for stuff like gulab jamun, palak paneer, and fresh paneer.

To close the day we went to Dr. Bizer’s Value Vision and had our eyes examined, I am now trying out contact lens.  We also visited staples for a laptop bag, and mp3 player for Elli.

I am still adjusting to contact lens, I really have issues with touching my eyeball.
